Liz Jansen
Liz Jansen, founder of Trillium Motorcycle Tours and Events is a rider, facilitator, coach, speaker, writer and entrepreneur. Liz has more than 25 years riding experience and has toured across North America. Prior to creating Trillium, Liz worked for a large corporation in Human Resources, Training and Development and Health and Safety. She left that in 2003 and embarked on a 2 month solo motorcycle odyssey across North America .
Liz is recognized as a Canadian motorcycle industry expert, with a focus on women riders. She has been written about in The Toronto Star, Motorcycle MOJO Magazine, Canadian Biker, In The Saddle, Motorcycle News, Long Rider Magazine and local publications.
She has provided professional services to BMW Motorrad Canada, Deeley Harley-Davidson, many retailers, Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership and District Marketing Organizations throughout Ontario. She has spoken at numerous events and is called upon by media for her expertise.
In her role as Board Chair with the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC), Liz has been involved in advancing and protecting the rights of all motorcyclists in Canada.
As Past Chair of the MCC Women Riders’ Council, she served on the Advisory Council for the American Motorcyclists Association’s International Women and Motorcycling Conference in 2009 and led the Canadian participation at the event.
In January 2010, MCC was presented with a MAX award for Motorcycle Organization in recognition of their sponsorship and organization of the International Street Party at the AMA conference. Liz herself received a Special Ambassador MAX award in 2006 for her involvement in the motorcycling community.
Liz is also a Senior Instructor and certified by the Canada Safety Council to teach in the motorcycle training program at Humber College.
Liz knows that to learn, to grow and to create the results we want, we need to stretch and step outside our comfort zone. Trillium was created to provide a venue for others, to experience the personal rejuvenation, re-energization, and heightened confidence that comes from the ride.
